As professional organizers, we've read a
lot of books on organization. These are a few of our personal recommendations.

Clutter's Last Stand: It's Time to De-Junk Your Life, by Don
Aslett
An informative, entertaining, and motivational book that gives
you reasons for eliminating clutter and also practical tips to help
you accomplish it. |
|
Clear Your Clutter With Feng Shui, by Karen Kingston
This book is a little more on the metaphysical side than the one
above. Clutter is stuck energy that keeps you stuck in undesirable
life patterns. Therefore, you can "sort out your life by sorting
out your junk." |
|
Beyond Time Management, by Jane Petrick, Ph.D.
Although this book is mostly oriented towards those in the corporate
environment, the author does address individuals also. In fact,
Andy thinks Chapters 7, 8, 9, and 11 make the book worth buying.
If you've ever seen one of Andy's presentations,
you know that he talks abut the disadvantages of using "visual
cues" as reminders. What Andy calls "visual cues,"
Dr. Petrick refers to as "visual stressors," and her discussion
of visual stressors and mental rehearsal is excellent. |
